- Open diskmgmt.msc on a virtual machine host.
- Find the disk you want to use directly in virtual machine and put it offline

3. Open Hyper-V Manager.
4. Right click on a virtual machine.
5. Settings.
6. Find SCSi controller, select Hard drive and click Add.

7. Select Physical hard disk and from drop down menu choose the disk you want to use.

8. Click OK and start your virtual machine.
9. If you encounter problem with starting virtual machine related to creating checkpoints, then you’ll have to disable checkpoints for that virtual machine.
